Market opportunities
Scotland, through the Scotwind 1 leasing round in January 2022, has planned for 25 GW of new offshore wind projects. 15 GW will be floating projects. Two norwegian developers, Magnora and Fred Olsen, have allready been awarded areas in this leasing round.
On top of the Scotwind 1 round, 3 new areas were announced in august 2022 with a total capacity of 2.8 GW. Mainstream (Aker Offshore Wind) has been awarded an area with 1.8 GW capacity.
In august 2022 Crown Estate Scotland opened the INTOG (Innovation and targeted Oil and Gas) leasing round with a total capacity of 4.5 GW.
Collaboration opportunities
In June 2022 Norwegian Offshore Wind signed a collaboration agreement with the biggest offshore wind body in Scotland. DeepWind Cluster has more than 700 members and covers the entire supply chain. Through this and other partnerships, we will book meetings, visits, and exchange knowledge during this Market Visit for our members.
