Testing facilities

Our latest challenge

Å Energi and Corio Generation (Nordvegen Vind) invite Norwegian and international founders and developers to solve the task of gaining control of a floating offshore wind turbine that has come loose from its moorings. The challenge is part of the Norwegian Offshore Winds Accelerator program. The winner will be presented at Floating Wind Days in Haugesund on 30 May together with the Industry partners.

Nordvegen Vind seeks innovative, scalable, and low-maintenance solutions capable of responding effectively to emergencies involving freely drifting floating offshore wind turbines. These solutions should be adaptable across various floating substructure designs, withstand harsh North Sea conditions, and ensure the longevity of the turbines, aligning with the offshore wind sector's commitment to sustainability and safety.
