Martine will help companies succeed in the EU system

Martine Farstad is joining the Norwegian Offshore Wind team. Her excellent competence within EU and EEA will make sure our members are in the best hands when navigating in the EU grants. 

-The offshore wind business provides the opportunity for oil and gas companies to use their technology and competence to transition into renewables. To be able to take part in this adventure is extremely exciting, says Martine.

She has a master’s degree in European studies from King´s College in London. Alongside her studies, she worked for the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, and in July 2018 she started as Communication Manager at South Norway European Office.  

The past years, she has lived in Brussels, covering EU and EEA activities. She is also one of the leaders for the Blue Economy working group in the European Regions Research and Innovation Network (ERRIN).

In Norwegian Offshore Wind, Martine will be working with EU communication and will assist in positioning Norwegian companies in EU calls, together with our EU advisor Tor Arne Johnsen.

-Martine’s competence is extremely valuable for our members, as she has been working hands on in the EU system. It can be complicated for a Norwegian company to understand how to get the best opportunities, so we are happy to strengthen our EU team, says Arvid Nesse, manager of Norwegian Offshore Wind.

Martine has contributed in several EU projects and worked to establish partnerships between companies. She will be joining Business Development Manager Astrid Green and Communication Manager Arne Vatnøy at the cluster´s office in Oslo.
